※滞在型カフェ運営スタッフです。
いよいよ来春に迫った瀬戸内国際芸術祭2025。
ここ男木島でも少しずつ準備が始まっています。
今回、象と太陽社は、香川県を代表するアーティスト、川島猛さんのアートサイトに併設したカフェの運営をさせていただくこととなりました。
瀬戸芸を通した離島でのアート活動は、多くの方の努力により、地域のポテンシャルを高め、島嶼部の豊かな暮らしを維持して来て下さいました。
尽力されてきたスタッフの方々も、徐々に次世代にバトンタッチされてゆく中で、この地域で暮らして10年目を迎える私たちも、事業を通して、今までの活動を引き継ぎ、次世代に豊かさを繋いでゆくことで貢献できればと考えるようになりました。（いやぁ。まさか、僕がこんな真面目に考える歳になるなんて、自分でびっくりです笑）
自分たちの本業であるサービス業を通して、アートの維持発展に協力できることにとてもワクワクしています。
今回のプロジェクトの目標は、3年に1度の瀬戸芸と言う状況（店舗運営に関しては、毎回未知の部分や不確定要素が多くあり、サービス提供者側に多くのフレキシビリティーが求められます。）の中、様々な文化風習をお持ちになった多種多様なゲストに、現場で臨機応変に対応できる、ホスピタリティースペック高めのカフェ運営チームで、満足度の高い芸術祭の体験を提供することです。
そして、カフェの売り上げの一部が、アートの制作・維持に充てられることで、地域のアート活動が持続可能なものになってゆきます。
運営側の僕としては、この機会を通して、ゲストの皆さまにスペシャルな体験を提供することはもちろん、この新しいチームのメンバーみんなで、サービス業を通して多くの感動を味わうこと。素晴らしい仲間作りができること。今後の人生に生かせるかけがえのない体験を提供することが目標です。

・募集内容：カフェ運営チーム滞在型スタッフ（住居はこちらで準備します）
・お仕事内容：カフェでの調理・接客
・勤務日程：各会期～全会期（最低1会期～の募集です）
　＊春会期：4月18日（金）～5月25日（日）
　＊夏会期：8月1日（金）～8月31日（日）
　＊秋会期：10月3日（金）～11月9日（日）
・時給制　1,000円～
日本語以外に、英語などが話せるとスムーズです。（堪能でなくてもコミュニケーションが取れれば大丈夫です）

“Heron” new release
In a strange inn called the Lemon tree hotel, many artists (everyone who creates their own life is an artist!) come here, gain something, leave something and return to their respective places.
And we can learn a lot from them each time.
I would be very proud if our place is like a stepping stone, a resting place, a shelter away from the battlefield for them.

Fortunately, we are not bound by nationality or culture and can connect with anyone without borders. As long as we live passionately.

Our special guest & dear friend, CRUCiAL STAR
I admire his sincerity, his kindness, and even his shyness.
Even if I didn't know him, his songs are very nice and my favorites, but actually spending time with him and feeling his quiet passion made me a very big fan.
He says, “The most important thing in life is passion.”
He is always quiet, but when he talks about that, you feel a sharp intensity from him.
It is hard to have this kind of difficult conversation in each other's second language, but we are still able to communicate with each other.
I would like to see him again on this island, in his hometown Seoul, and in many other places to touch his passion and talk a lot about it.
I hope our English will be better by then LOL

It's circler system!
And we are cooking that can be enjoyed by various country people.(We hope!!)
Anyway,we have so many herbs in this season, we cook aqua pazza with loco fish, grilled octopus and turban shell, several side dishes, and pho with fish broth. (of course with lot herbs and green lemon.)
Well,we are excited to see what the menu will be next season❄️

なんせ、秋はハーブがたくさんあるので、ハーブやグリーンレモンと相性の良い、近海魚のアクアパッツァ、タコとサザエのグリル、サイドディッシュ数種、魚出汁のフォーがスタメンです。

Roofing work, which had been stalled by the summer heat wave, has finally restarted. Tonk-tonk-tonk over the heads of our guests.
We will be preparing a special stay for our followers in the off-season after fall, and we hope to take this opportunity to talk about the progress of the project and the accumulation of stories while sitting around the fire.

Big typhoon “Shanshan” staying near Shikoku, ferries are out of service for a few days and guests are unable to travel, so we are confined in the island, a quietness that reminds me of the COVID-19 days.
We would like to thank all our guests for their cooperation in cancelling and rescheduling their important trips, even though it is a natural result of the situation.
We will spend these few days on our own retreat.

So, we look forward to seeing you on our usual Ogijima after the storm.

『時を超えた新年会』
2019年に男木島でのアート活動を引退された、『ONBA FACTORY』の大島さんを迎えたBBQパーティーをようやく開催できましたことのご報告！！
ONBA FACTORYの説明は今更なので、割愛させていただくとして、男木島移住のパイオニア兼、島のアーティストとしてご尽力されてきた、そのパワフルさと、島のオンバとオンバを使う暮らしそのものをアートにしてしまうハンパないアイデアは、今になっても色褪せることはない。
毎年の新年会がコロナ禍と大島さんの引退により開催出来ていなかったところ、ようやく（新年会ではないが）開催出来ました！
今後もアートにかかわる皆さんや、島の今までを作ってきてくださった方々の労をねぎらい、今後に繋げてゆけたら素敵だと思っています。
また半年後には本当の新年会を開催できればと思います。
